To limit air and contact noise through wall anchors or cavity anchors, ABC has special sound-proofing and sound-insulating sound and vibration-coupled wall anchors / cavity anchors in its program. The sound-insulating cavity anchors are supplied in stainless steel (outside facades) or in galvanized steel (internal walls only). The anchors are suitable for absorbing lateral forces such as wind loads. The sound-insulating cavity anchors have been tested for 400 N tensile force and 480 N compressive force. With a standard cavity wall 110-50-110mm, the sound insulation improvement is 9 dB on average. We assume 6 wall anchors per m2! With lower numbers, sound insulation naturally improves, but the stability of the structure decreases. That is why we only supply the minimum amount of anchors per m2! These sound-insulating cavity anchors are used in both high-rise and low-rise buildings. Internally they are also often used in world cities such as New York, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Melbourne. With our wall anchors, solid internal and external cavity constructions can be made without air and contact noise transmission.
